Robert is a proud retired combat veteran, having honorably served 20 years in the U.S. Army. Known for his strategic insight, unwavering dedication, and exceptional leadership, Robert played a vital role in numerous high-stakes missions, earning the respect of his peers and the gratitude of his nation. His ability to lead under pressure and navigate complex situations became the foundation of his distinguished military career.

It was the Army that led Robert to El Paso, but it was the city’s rich culture, welcoming spirit, and strong sense of community that captured his heart. Embracing El Paso as his forever home, he attended the University of Texas at El Paso, deepening his connection to the city that had given him so much.

Family is at the center of Robert’s life. He is happily married and the proud father of five children. His legacy of service lives on through his eldest son, who currently serves as an intel analyst in the U.S. Air Force, and his second-oldest, a recent Andress High School graduate now serving in the U.S. Army with the 1st Armored Division at Fort Bliss. His younger children are thriving in EPISD schools, a testament to his belief in strong education and community support.

After retiring from the military, Robert redirected his passion and leadership toward uplifting his community. He is the founder of the 915 HEAT Organization, a non-profit youth program dedicated to helping young athletes in El Paso achieve their dreams in basketball. But Robert’s vision goes beyond sports—he is committed to providing a structured, safe, and disciplined environment where every child can reach their full potential.

As a father, a leader, and a mentor, Robert remains steadfast in his commitment to service, dedicating his time and energy to shaping a stronger and more empowered El Paso through education and mentorship.
